Adam defended and received his PhD in Physics in June 2024 with the thesis titled “Interferometric Antibiotic Susceptibility Testing”. Originally from Wisconsin, Adam completed his undergraduate degree in physics at Michigan Technological University in Houghton, MI, before joining the Yunker Lab to explore the physics of microbial systems and their relevance to medicine.
During his time in the lab, Adam brought both scientific rigor and a sense of adventure—whether that meant pushing forward new techniques for probing bacterial responses or diving into the snow for fun. A devoted sports fan (Go Pack Go), enthusiastic golfer, and lover of all foods despite a notably low spice tolerance, Adam contributed both professionally and personally to the spirit of the group.
Adam is now a Lead Research Engineer at TopoDx. We’re excited to see where his curiosity and drive take him next.
